Our Team

John co-founded KiloNewton in 2017 and acts as CEO and Principal Engineer. Prior to KiloNewton, John led Array Technologies engineering and development as part of their executive team for 11 years. He is a registered PE in NM and TX, with an MSME from UNM.

Amy co-founded KiloNewton in 2017 and leads KiloNewton’s operations, including hiring, accounting, and facilities. Past experience includes 10+ years in small business management and automotive technology. Amy attended CNM and UNM and earned a degree in Automotive Technology.

Jim leads KiloNewton’s Commercial & Business Development activities.  Prior to joining KiloNewton in 2020, Jim worked in the finance and energy & power sectors based in both New York and London.  He earned a BA degree from Yale, an MBA degree from Harvard Business School, and served as in Infantry Officer in the United States Marine Corps.

Anima is involved in the Civil/Structural aspect of our projects. She has a MS degree in Civil Engineering from University of New Mexico and has worked in the Solar industry for 5 years. She has experience working in various rooftop and ground mount commercial and residential projects. At KiloNewton, she will be working as a consulting engineer assisting with structural designs and consulting. She is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in New Mexico and Texas.

Chris is a Civil Engineer at KiloNewton, supporting our projects with a focus on site design, hydrology, grading and drainage, utilities, and permitting. He contributes to the development of Kilonewton’s in-house civil engineering capabilities and our SolarSpace^® design & optimization software. Chris holds a Master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of New Mexico and has experience delivering a wide range of infrastructure projects from conception through construction. 

Marcus joined KiloNewton in 2023 and serves as our Lead Project Manager, heading up our Project Execution team to deliver projects on time and on budget. Prior to joining KiloNewton, Marcus managed the delivery of construction projects, as well as internal strategic initiatives, in the telecoms industry. Marcus holds a BS degree from Texas Tech University.

As a renewables analyst for Kilonewton, Zane uses his skills in geoinformatics, photovoltaics modeling, computer & data science to design solutions for geospatial problems. Zane leads both our SiTE™ Optimization and SolarSpace^® development efforts. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio where he was involved in climatological research.

Shiva has a background in Computer Science with a focus on development and applying AI/ML to the geospatial domain. At KiloNewton, he develops advanced geoprocessing tools to strengthen our SolarSpace^® proprietary software, enabling faster workflows and more optimal solar site designs based on detailed terrain analytics insights that enable better decision-making.

Morgan is a Renewables Analyst II at KiloNewton, where she provides geospatial technical expertise for renewable energy site evaluation, engineering, and design. She brings five years of experience in engineering consulting and more than ten years of experience working with geospatial data, software, and workflows. Her work spans spatial analysis, terrain processing, GIS/CAD integration, technical modeling, geospatial automation, and cartographic production.

Dana is a Civil/Structural Engineer at KiloNewton and supports renewable energy projects with a focus on structural analysis, geotechnical evaluation, and solar infrastructure design. Her work combines field insight and technical precision with sustainable design principles, emphasizing safety, reliability, and structural performance in every project. Prior to joining KiloNewton, Dana collaborated with NASA on research exploring civil and environmental engineering applications in advanced systems design.

Ella supports KiloNewton’s day-to-day operations, marketing, sales, and business development efforts. She works across multiple areas of the company, including sales support, proposal coordination, marketing initiatives, company branding, project and pricing database management, and client outreach. With a focus on organization, communication, and customer satisfaction, Ella helps support efficient sales processes, coordinate company initiatives, maintain internal resources, and strengthen KiloNewton’s presence with clients and industry partners.

Lucas supports KiloNewton’s day-to-day operations and sales efforts. With a strong understanding of engineering and software development, Lucas works to deliver tailored solutions for our clients with a focus on efficient sales processes and customer satisfaction. Lucas is also currently attending school to obtain their degree in Mechanical Engineering.

X has a long history in the steel industry, having worked at Array Technologies and Miguel Edwards LLC in Seattle as a fabricator after graduation. X is now working as a CAD technician at Kilonewton as the next step in their career.

Miranda is a Project Manager at KiloNewton, supporting both project and customer success. Prior to joining KiloNewton, Miranda worked as a stress and design engineer in the aerospace industry. She then transitioned into renewables managing O&M on PV & battery sites. She holds both a BS and MS in structural engineering from UC San Diego.

Dylan leads the day-to-day operations at KiloNewton. He worked in the semiconductor industry for 5 years prior to joining KiloNewton, running the business' daily and long-term operations. Dylan's background focuses on process streamlining and implementation, recruiting and people-development, human resources and business partnerships, and has technical knowledge in mechanics. His focus is improving the current processes while building a foundation for business growth.
